Grief and Loss

I specialize in supporting individuals heal from loss of all kinds. Experiencing the death of someone we love can be a profoundly overwhelming expereince. It can radically change the world as we once knew it and the future we imagined for ourselves. We can experience a range of intense, complex and bewildering emotions that persist long after we are expected to resume ‘business as usual’ or to have ‘moved on’ from our grief.

 

During our lives, we can experience many different kinds of loss including the loss of a significant relationship, our health, our identity, our culture.  These losses can evoke painful emotion and leave us struggling to cope.

Psychotherapy can help provide a safe space to feel, make sense of and find relief from distressing emotions. In our work together we will honor your loss while helping you navigate your changed reality and, in time, find meaning and restored hope.
